Last updated 8 months ago

Zug, Switzerland & Singapore – September 6, 2024 – The Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) Alliance, a collaboration between SingularityNET, Fetch.ai, and Ocean Protocol, announces the deployment of the $FET (ASI) native token on the Cardano blockchain. This marks a significant milestone in the ongoing mission to create a decentralized and ethical AI ecosystem, now further strengthened by Cardano’s advanced, secure infrastructure.

A series of future developments for ASI on Cardano are envisioned, including an eventual ticker change from $FET to $ASI, and a variety of sophisticated on-chain ASI products leveraging Cardano’s Plutus Core infrastructure.

The Alliance is introducing a range of tools to enhance the interoperability of $FET (ASI) across major blockchain networks, beginning with today's deployment of $FET as a Cardano Native Token (CNT) and continuing with the deployment of additional Cardano features through September:

  1. Native $FET (ASI) Token Deployed on Cardano: The $FET token, rebranded under the Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) banner, has now been successfully deployed as a native token on the Cardano blockchain. Native Cardano $FET (ASI) will replace the existing $AGIX native Cardano token.

With the successful creation of FET on Cardano, users can expect to see this reflected in block explorers within a few days, followed by deployment of the following tooling during the month of September:

  1. Direct CNT-AGIX to CNT-FET Migration Tool: A migration tool has been created to support the direct conversion of AGIX tokens to FET tokens. This tool simplifies the migration process for Cardano users.

  2. Ethereum-Cardano Bridge for $FET: SingularityNET’s existing Ethereum-Cardano bridge has been updated, enabling seamless transfers of $FET (ASI) tokens between these two networks. This bridge enhances liquidity and accessibility for $FET, furthering its adoption across diverse decentralized ecosystems.

“The low cost, high speed, top security and mathematical elegance of the Cardano infrastructure have been an inspiration to me since the early days of SingularityNET,” said Ben Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNET and Artificial Superintelligence Alliance. “As we grow the ASI Alliance in accordance with its mission to lead the transition from today’s AI applications to tomorrow’s Artificial General Intelligence and then superintelligence, the Cardano native-asset version of the ASI token and Cardano versions of ASI software tools and platforms are envisioned to play an ongoingly central role.”

This announcement reflects the Alliance’s dedication to our long-standing partnership with Cardano, and leveraging blockchain technology to accelerate the development of Artificial Superintelligence while ensuring that it remains accessible and beneficial to all. The Alliance invites developers, businesses, and community members to explore these new tools and contribute to the growing decentralized AI ecosystem.

About The Artificial Superintelligence Alliance

The Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) Alliance is a collective formed by Fetch.ai, SingularityNET (SNET), and Ocean Protocol. As the largest open-sourced, independent entity in AI research and development, this alliance aims to accelerate the advancement of decentralized Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and, ultimately, Artificial Superintelligence (ASI).

About SingularityNET

SingularityNET was founded by Dr. Ben Goertzel with the mission of creating a decentralized, democratic, inclusive and beneficial Artificial General Intelligence (AGI). According to Dr. Goertzel, AGI should be independent of any central entity, open to anyone and not restricted to the narrow goals of a single corporation or a single country. The SNET team includes seasoned engineers, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and marketers. The core platform and the SNET AI teams are complemented by specialized teams devoted to various application areas such as robotics, biomedical AI, finance, media, arts and entertainment.
